I have blogs on MySpace and LiveJournal and now....I'm a Blogger too. Crazy, I know. I'm glad to be here!
Yes, my favorite holiday -Halloween- came and went it was a fun time! I was a Disco Queen. Had I owned some rollerblades, I would've gone as a Roller-Disco Queen. Ha! Luckily, I own lots of funky clothes and shoes, so I plucked my entire costume out of my closet. Scary, isn't it? I was an antiques dealer for many years and still have a ton of vintage stuff. The coat and jewelry are true circa 70's. The only thing I had to buy was the wig and the huge hoop earrings. Yeah, Baby!
When I drove to the party, my 'fro was touching the roof of my car and kept sliding down so I opted to take it off for the ride home. I'm so glad I didn't get pulled over! The mug shot would've looked like Dustin Hoffman coming clean on Tootsie. I was butt ugly with my hair slicked back, false eyelashes and big ol' hoop earrings. Even with the wig on, I kind of felt like a fair Jimmy Hendrix. But that's what I love about Halloween! Playing a character and pretending to be something totally different. On the writing front, I'm tweaking the final chapters of Mercy Lily and really enjoying it. The story and the tweaking, that is. I have good feelings about this one.
